...Still more, DEI destruction..
« on: January 23, 2025, 11:52:03 AM »
The Biden admin, being "eaten up" with the DEI urge, has renamed many military bases.. Since I was Army, I willspeak of them only.

I served on posts which were named after heroes, and it didn't matter to me where in America those heroes hailed from.

I served at Fort Hood, named after Gen John Bell Hood, a Kentucky native.  I never sensed any shame in that, and was proud to be there.

...But apparently those who pull Joes control strings, didn't like posts being named after those who served the Confederacy !

I hope Pres Trump rescinds this foolish move.  Problem is, such a move is costly..something the Dems didn't give a rats donkey about
   when they did it !

...And perchance the new names are of real heroes, it would be a tough go to change them.

Here are some name changes.. https://www.jbsa.mil/News/News/Article/3363020/dod-to-change-names-of-nine-army-installations-by-2024/

I also served at Fort Jackson...apparently this southern president escaped the axe, because he was pre civil War... :P

..But many streets on that post have been renamed to please the wokies..

   https://home.army.mil/jackson/about/fort-jackson-road-renaming#:~:text=U.S.%20Army%20Training%20Center%20&%20Fort%20Jackson%20*%20About.%20*%20Fort%20Jackson%

Apparently madness and hate mania know no bounds...
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

I  hear ya. I was at Ft. Rucker. At least they named it after a Medal of Honor winner.
