Went looking today!!!!
« on: March 28, 2004, 02:49:42 PM »
I went out looking at 3 different sporting goods stores today. The first on had just a couple of Handi's a 308Ultra and a Ultra 223(I already have a 223Ultra).The 2nd store was a large sporting goods store I havent been to for awhile and they had about 40+ Different Handi's and shotguns.A 45-70 synthetic and a 22WMR synthetic caught my eye there but i just wasnt sure if I really needed either of them.Store #3 is about 15 min. from my house and I stopped in just to see what was new on the shelf.I went to the Handi's and started looking. The 3rd rifle I picked up was a 25-06Ultra with a 3-9 simmons 32mm setting on top for $329.MY wife would squash me if I brought another one home right now!!Im gonna freak over this one all week!!
Is that Handi fever or what??Decisions...Decisions.

Handi fever...it's not curable...but it is treatable!

My wife didn't say anything when I bought 3 Pardners for my son and I...she didn't say much when I bought 3 more Sportsters (and synthetic stocks)...then we picked up two Romanian Trainer rifles and I thought I was going to be in trouble...how much of this can one woman take?...well after we refinished the stock on the first trainer rifle she said "I think I'd like to try shootin' one of those".

Now I think it's contagious too!  I love that woman!

Kids are GREAT!
I've gotten away with more buys since my son was born than ever before.  " But honey I have to have this new ... to teach Drake how to hunt with".  My son is only three years old, but already has a full compliment of arms.  He had a .22 and a deer rifle before he was even born!  The best part is that for every gun I buy him, I get to experience one more day in God's great creation with him, teaching him the things my dad and gradpa taught me.  Talk about investing in the future.

Sad thing is, I thought I was going to teach my wife how to shoot.  Within a hour she was out shooting me with the Buckmark.  Never did like that gun again.
Fear is but a stepping stone on the foot path to Glory.
