#11 Cap vs. Musket Cap-Suggestions?
« on: March 31, 2004, 07:24:47 AM »
I have a Knight Wolverine that shoots well with the #11, however I don't care for the #11 as it is hard to remove from the nipple prior to bringing the gun inside.  I was thinking of purchasing the 209 conversion for this gun (about $60) but after reading here, I think that may be too much unnecessary flash.  I am considering changing to the Musket cap (about $7) because of cost and simplicity.

Any opinions on the subject?

Thanks,

Scott

I believe that rifle has an open action?  You will probably get pretty horrific flash with musket caps but they are a bit easier to handle.
WHUT?

I personally prefer the Musket cap and when you say #11, I am assuming you are saying #11 Magnum cap.  The musket caps does fit the nipple rather loosely on all of my nipples, might be prone to falling off, I know I have to be aware ofthat, might check that thought.....
Keep shooting muzzleloaders - they are a blast....

I wouldn't change a thing-- except perhaps carrying a penknife.
