A simple question, maybe dumb.  :oops:
How are Poly Chokes attached?  Threaded?  Soldered?  Shrink-fitted?

I think the old originals were soldered.  Someone is making one now that screws in the barrel in place of a choke tube.

some were threaded on and some were soldered in place.  Adapters were avaiable for thin or thick walled barrels.  If threaded the front sight bead was sometimes used to lock the choke from turning...

I believe the poly choke that is on my grandfathers Winchester Model 12 16GA is soldered on.  He gave that gun to me a couple years ago and I appreciate the poly choke for upland bird hunting and an occasional shot at a clay bird or two.
