Wolfe .22 ammo
« on: March 31, 2004, 03:21:41 AM »
I saw on another thread about Wolfe .22 match ammo.  Ed also told me how good it was.  I am, however, having a horrible time finding it.  I have checked with local stores even to the point of having them order it special.  I can't get it...

Anyone know of a supplier for this ammo?

Thanks tipiguy

http://www.championshooters.com/  is where I have ordered mine from.

I have been shooting Wolf Match Target in informal Rimfire Bench Rest Matches for a couple years now. In addition I have accuracy tested many, many different brands and types of .22 LR Ammo in several different .22 LR Handguns & Rifles. Generally speaking Wolf Match Target has been in the top 2 or 3 brands and types in most of these .22's. Some of these brands and types of .22 LR ammo have included offerings from Eley, Lapua, and several of the US Manufacturers.

However I should also note that the first Wolf Match Target that I purchased a couple years ago shot better than current production lots of this ammo. I was told that they changed the powder used in the Wolf Match Target, and it produces a little higher velocity than the original lot of Wolf Match Target that I had. So far I have tested 3 different lots of Wolf Match Target total.

Try Bruno shooting supply in Phoenix. He lists it for $207/case, best price I've found yet.
