I have to tell this simply out of respect!

I have recently lost the greatest friends I have ever known!
This person actually put the first firearm in my hand that I ever carried!
My Old trusty K-Bar knife came at about the same time from them also!
I cannot count the times that they covered my butt in bad situations
and we always came out on top of the pile! One of those kind of
friends that you never leave an arguement mad!
They actually introduced me to my wife!
The best advice for my wedding night came from them!!
I could go on and on!
This person was not an old military buddy or partner from my days
as a Law enforcement officer,
She was my Mother! I have never known anyone like her, and never
will again, The world is a lesser place without her and I will
Honor her always! God Bless you Shelby Sumner Your place in
my heart and mind will never be filled.

That, my friend, was truly a wonderful tribute. I wish I had been that close to my mother. God Bless and give you strength.

As long as you keep her memory alive in your heart, you'll always have her at your side. I lost a favorite uncle 7 years ago, when he was forty. He was 15 days younger than me, and we were more friends than relation. His daughter was born about the same time as my son, and there has never been a sadder moment in my life, than watching his six year old daughter say goodbye to her daddy. He's thought of constantly, and sometimes I feel I can even talk to him yet.

You have known, and indeed still know, what I feel is the greatest blessing a man can be granted; a true spiritual bond between two souls. You and your mother have obviously lived that time you had together to its fullest potential. It is a divine gift to have had that level of fulfillment in life.
