A Good Price or Not???
« on: April 04, 2004, 05:41:26 AM »
I was in my local toy store and saw a 7-30 Waters barrel, with a muzzle break and a mounted TC varible scope on it.  It was in like new condition and they wanted $399 for it.  Is this a good deal or not?
Not sure what type of mount and rings were on it, they seem to be one piece.  It was a good looking base and rings.

was for a frame with two(2) super 14 barrels one in 223 with a Bushness pistol scope mounted and one in 30-30 with iron sights. Pacyhmayr grips also came with 200 rounds loaded 30-30 125 grain spirepoints, 100 rounds 30-30 brass, RCBS 30-30 loading dies, 350 125 grain spirepoint  bullets and 2 ponnds of 3031 powder. Loaded amo was in mtm plastic 100 round boxes. Cost to me was $400
I think I did OK don't you?

My third frame too. I already had two one set up for rimfires and on e for centirefires. I really didnt think I could use a third frame who knew? That one is for carbines<VBG>now. I really don't think I need another but if it falls in my lap I won't complain. I really have no intrest in the G2 through. From everything I read they went through Warren Centers design and lawered it up to avoid any liebility to themselves ruining the perfection that was there. Just about everything they changed I liked about the Contender and still do. I bet Warren is spinning in his grave seeing what the coprorate bean counters did to his "baby"
