Best digital callers

Anyone have an opinion of which is the best digital calling machines for the money? I'm not interested in tape machines, only digital.  :-)

I've tried out a few different ones, and without a doubt the Fox-Pro caller has'em all beat easily.

i think jerry lester has it right,the fox-pro has it over all that i know about.
i still use a mouth call most of the time only because i make a lot of fast stands. good luck.  Joe

I assume you want a remote unit. The Foxpro is an excellent caller. So is the Loudmouth. They are close to each other in quality and price. Foxpro gets the edge with their excellent sound library. The Wildlife Tech. unit is good and has a great sound library. It is way overpriced for the market and is cumbersome to carry though. Both Johnny Stewart and Burnham Bros. are coming out with new digital remote units in a very short time about $200 less than the Foxpro and Loudmouth at about $300. They are not apples to apples units with the Foxpro and Loudmouth, but they both look to be very good. Extreme Dimensions has also introduced a new Phantom upgrade with a remote. They have very few sounds though. I can't speak to the quality because I don't have any knowledge of it.

All things being equal, if I were going to buy a digital remote today, I would get a Foxpro. If your budget is tight, get the non-remote unit that can be upgraded later.

FYI-Foxpro is about ready to introduce some new units.........

I definately wouldn't recomend the Phantom at all. The other digital callers have sounds that sound like actual recordings of animals. The sounds on the Phantom sound like they were made on a Casio keyboard or something. I've hard that they're recordings of animals, but I've heard enough animals to tell you that those sounds are electronically produced, and definately didn't come from an animal.

My best friend bought the Phantom, and we used it quite a bit, till we both came to the conclusion that it was a waste of money. He sold it, and is using his old Johnny Stewart 512 till he saves up for a Fox-Pro.

I purchased a Loudmouth late last year. It is a tremendous caller. I have NEVER had a problem with it. It is very light and compact. I love the remote.
