My wife has a new dutch oven and some cast iron skillets, she asked me if she could season it with bore butter. Is it ok and will it be ok for human consumption? ty

Crisco is a whole lot cheaper!

I suppose you could, but you don't really need the fragarance (if it would even remain) and the Crisco is a whole lot less expensive.
