I recently bought 2 Vaquero`s in .45 LC, 5,5".  Both place the shots
5,5" to the left at 27 yards.  I have tried different types of power, but the result is the same.  Can I do something with the front sight, or do I have to file the rear sight?

I wouldn't do either, Yet. I would take a couple of friends to the range with me and let them shoot both guns. If it shows the same results then I would send them to ruger to fix. If it shoots fine for them then I would take a better look at my shooting techniques. I would think it kind of rare to get two pistols that both shoot off exactly the same.  KN

The problem could be as simple as how the light is hitting the sights. Try shooting in a different direction relative to the position af the sun. My Vaqueros both shoot to the point of aim and so does my single six.

I'd also say give it another go with varied conditions as well as having another shot it (preferably someone who is a good shooter).

Yep. Have a known good shooter try it and shoot it some more  yourself before sending it back to Ruger. my 5.5 inchers in .357 shoot perxactly to point of aim from factory.
