Purchased stainless Model 63. Exterior metal finish/polish is great. Stock is so/so. Front sight is a very high half moon affair with no bead-not good. Rear sight is typical cheap .22 rifle type. Despite the claim in their web site that this gun has a clean , crisp trigger mine was very heavy with a LOT of creep. Dunno how it shoots. First I had only cheap Wal Mart ammo available and got a lotof jams-will try tomorrow with good ammo. Accuracy was lousydue to either lousy trigger, sights, ammo or some combination thereof. Had to raise the rear sight a lot to get centered even at 20 yds. Also shot left-again I am unsure what roblem is but will try to isolate. Note that slide does NOT lock open on last shot-bummer. I don't know whether theWinchester locked back or not. I called Taurus Customer service and explained the trigger difficulty and their claim in regard thereto on web site-was told that the trigger work constituted "customizing" and they didn't do that anymore. No use talking to that person anymore-sent fax, but no reply yet. Will update soon.
