:grin: i just picked up a very good condition winchester model 94 in 30-30 this weekend
sn#427xxxx. can anyone offer the year it was manufactured. it has seen very little use, and shoots so fine.

   Your rifle was built in 1975 or 1976 depending on the actual serial number.  Here's a link to sight with the info.

This site  http://armscollectors.com/sn/windates.htme  dates yours between '74 and '75.  It puts me at '78.  I don't know why they're different but at least you have a ball park figure.
