375 Win Shooters
« on: April 16, 2004, 02:47:56 PM »
The weather broke today and I finally made it to the range.  Shot a new 375 Win barrel.  Was impressed with the 200 grain Sierra over 35 grains of Reloader 7.  Printed one ragged hole at 50 yards.  Tried the 220 and 225 grain and groups were very poor and wide.  Anyone else have this experience ?

I've got a 15" T/C Custom shop w/mag-na-port and it also loves the 200gr sierrra w/RL-7 . The 225's and 220's didn't shoot as well. Mine too shoots one ragged hole @ 50 and about 1.25@100. Didn't much mess with it after the 200's shot so well.

The 375 win is one of my favorite barrels.Mine shoots the 220's a tad better than the 200's.The 220's reach the lands much better for me mine has a long throut.Consistent crimp with reloder 7 is a winner.Tried several cast bullets for plinking fun to shoot.
Without Plumbers there would be alot more crap in the world

Mine shoots as good as the good groups everyone else has mentioned. I shoot the 220's; however, I use IMR 4198.

Have to agree with bullseye, 220's with IMR 4198 has always worked for me.  I use magnum primers as well.
How'd you like a peek at my 14-incher? (Contender, that is)
