Mauser M71
« on: January 10, 2003, 06:16:18 AM »
in the local paper i ran across an unusual ad. it was for a non-sporteredmodel 71 mauser in .43 mauser. because it was an antique it does not require a license to purchase. the ad mentioned that brass was available but no price was given. what are these rifles worth and is this worth looking into.
" oh we didn't sink the bismarck, and we didn't fight at all, we spent our time in Norfolk and we really had a ball. chasing after women while our ship was overhauled, living it up on grapefruit juice and sick bay alcohol"

S.Sumner,

If you would, can you give us some background on this Mauser Model 71 is?  Is it military, or commercial (i am guessing 71 stands for 1871)? What caliber is it....one of those 9.xmm rounds?
savageT........Have you hugged a '99 lately?
