Are u superstitious???
« on: March 19, 2004, 01:47:48 AM »
I am I get up in the morning and do the same exact thing every fishing day.  I shower and get dressed the same way, left shoe on first, I load the car the same way, and drive the same roads to my fishing spot.  I also have to have my lucky hat(panther martin lure hat) and my polorized glasses or i'm just not in the groove.  If i do it right all is well in the universe and i can stay motivated and focus on my fishing!!!!  Am i superstitiuos  you bet I am!!!!                                                               BigBill

My evening trips are a little different I wash my hands with big orange hand soap before i go out to go fishing.

I'm sure some of you tornie guys have something lucky you do too??

I'm superstitious about my hat, why I don't know, but If I wear one and don't catch fish, I won't wear it fishing again.  Sounds kind of stupid I guess, but that's the way I am.

My favorite hat that I'd caught a ton of fish wearing blew off my head on Stick Marsh, and I didn't get it back.  Talk about being disgusted.

There's Fishing and then there's Bass Fishing
Its kinda like the difference between Sandlot Baseball and Playing on the Team.
The difference is Practice

I have a friend that I go fishin with. We are very competitive. Normally we're back and forth on who get's the most. But now I think I've found me a secret weapon. It's a t-shirt that has a picture of a Bass on it. Everytime I wear it, I catch way more than he does. He get's so mad he wants to leave,,,,,,,,,lol.

Another thing that I have going for me is my lure. We fish on a private pond that has huge bass and pleanty of them. Normally they bite most of the time. But when the bite is tough, I seem to come out on top. I think the fish are used to what everyone else is throwing. Mostly all the same stuff. But I throw the top water spook.(puppy version). No one else will throw it, and my friend can't make one walk the dog to save his life. :)

In fact, last time we went , I lost my last spook to a tree limb. My friend is so competitive, he had one in his box and didn't tell me. Hey, what's friend's for.

I don’t think just because I get in the boat from the port side even if I have to turn the boat at the dock to do so being superstitious.  And I don’t think that using a certain rod/reel with a certain lure for the first cast of the day is being superstitious either.  I wouldn’t think of letting a superstition tell me how to fish.  Where’s the wood?  Lawdog
