Below is a link to a website that you've probably come across but may not have. Personally I find it quite interesting, although I admit not understanding all of it 100%. In many ways the conclusions made are the reason I instinctively gravitated towards Big Bore rifles, namely big holes kill more "efficiently" assuming the hole goes through the correct part. With discussions in the near past on this board regarding the effectiveness of the 458WM and other DG calibers, perhaps a read would be useful.
