How long is T/C taking to fulfill orders?
« on: April 08, 2004, 08:55:23 AM »
I ordered my synthetic stock/frame assembly Jan 15 2004, any idea how long they take to fulfill dealer orders?

By the way, I read plenty of posts here first, so the barrel is coming from Bullberry, so I won't need to worry about warranty returns.

My buddy just ordered  a barrel from the Custom Shop.  Time given was 10 weeks.  They told him that they are getting a hugh amount of orders and had to go from 6 weeks to 10.

HOW LONG T/C TAKING TO FILL ORDERS

PERSISTENTPROGRAMER

On Nov. 7th of 2003 I ordered a Encore centerfire in .308 from a local gun store and was told it would take a week to 10 days. Several weeks later I contacted both the dealer and TC, and was told by TC that due to new muzzleloader regs. in Pa. they were swamped with orders for their muzzleloader. Well low and behold the gun finally came into the gun shop on 2/21/04. Several times I thought of cancelling the order but after I received the gun I was glad I didn't. Hand in there there well worth the wait as far as I'm concerned. Good luck

Have you guys ever considered Ed's TC?
He likely has what you need in stock for immediate delivery.

Yes, Ed is definetly the way to go. I was working a trade with a local shop. I was very close to calling the deal off and giving Ed a call.

I want the latest version

Since there's been so many complaints about the hinges, I want to get a frame that was recently built, hoping that their QA is better than before. Also, I've e-mailed edstc and asked them to get the inventory on the website updated. By today's standards, an out-of-date website is unacceptable.

I don't know if Ed will update his inventory. You would have to see his shop to understand.
If I were you I would just call him.

#1 You are assuming that T/C knows about or admits any problems with the hinge. I have not heard them admit that.

#2 The way I understand Ed's business he would have to update hourly it seems. What you call unacceptable is a fact of life for someone with 2 jobs. Sean

Just a FYI:
Ordered my .257 Roberts barrel from Fox Ridge today and was told it would be a 10-12 week wait.
Seems the earlier you order the quicker the service. For instance, If ordered in dead of Winter I have heard of a wait of 8 weeks or less.
I am not complaining about the wait-I will have the barrel in July, leaving me with plenty of time to get it all worked out for deer season.
Take care
