I have 4 of them. I bought my first one from Optic Zone. A friend of mine was so thrilled with the clarity and the mil-dot along with the Target like knobs that he searched and found one at Natchez Shooters Supply for $149.
I bought 3 more at that price. I shoot with a group of old time shooters and between them, they have purchased many more of the scopes.
Hunting? I don't hunt with my rifles. Some folks feel that a lower power capability is superior for close up situations. They are right, but if you become accustomed to a given scope, you will automatically find your target without the wider field of view.
The clarity of the optics is superb. My buddies and I have decided that it is better than Leupold and Burris. I have been using Bushnell scopes for 30 years for that very reason. One that I bought in 1973 just gave up a month ago when the reticle mechanism laid down and died. I have shot the day lights out of that scope and ran the range finder (elevation knob) from one extreme to another so many times that it just died. I'm going to send it back to Bushnell and see what the say. It is gauranteed for life.
I have no less than 10 Bushnell scopes, 1 Leupold, 5 Burris and another couple of odd ball brands.
The Bushnell is by far the most satisfactory for me.
The Mil-dot is great. I shoot at given distances between 100 yards to 500 meters. The mil-dot allows me to only make minor elevation adjustments for precise accuracy.
Check out Natchez for the best price.
