I just got a Shakespeare tiger spinning combo this spring. Everything works fine but the line keeps going bad on it. I cleaned everything out and tried 4-5 different lines but it didn't help. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

I took it out to my bait shop about the second time it did it and he said the line was rotten. It works for a couple of trips to the lake and thats it the line is done. About 2 times it got so bad you could pull and break it. :eek: Don't know if its rotten or not but I will check what you said to. Thanks for the help.

sunlight will rot line extremely quickly. this pole and reel hasnt been exposed to constant direct sunlight has it? layin in a boat parked outside or back of a truck are sure ways to overheat your line and speed decomposition. let us know what ya find out!

The sunlight thing may be i. After I put new line on it I'll keep it in the bacement. Thanks!
