Sorry, more twist rate questions re .223
« on: December 15, 2005, 01:10:34 PM »
OK, so I got my varmint laminated in .223 in EARLY 2005.  So, is it:

A.  Possible, or

B.  Not possible

that's it is something other than 1 in 12?

I'm going to do the free-floated cleaning rod trick with patched jag to test it, but when I get my results, if they're ambiguous or I have a reason for questioning them, I want to know how closely I need to scrutinize my findings and/or re-test.

Thanks.

Congrats on your new rifle! And chances, I believe, are very small that it's 1:9 if you bought it in early 2005. I've wondered whether it's worth getting another barrel so I can shoot heavies if I'm so inclined, but the Ultra is so accurate that if I feel I need heavier bullets, I'll just go up to a 7mm-08 or something like that.

Look at it this way: Now you have an excuse to buy another Handi! Like you needed an excuse, right?  :-D
