C. SHARPS

I have two of them. My first one I got was about six years ago and has given me very good accuracy and no problems at all. It is a 45-120 in a 1875 model 34 in. heavy weight barrel. It was a bit of a challenge in learning to load for it, but I hadn't loaded for any BP cart. before.
My second Sharps was also a C. Sharps in a 1874 with a 30 in. no.4 heavy barrel. This custom built by C. Sharps and they really did a very good job on it. It is a little too heavy to use for hunting but I had it built like a buffalo would have ordered. It is also has very good accuracy (16 lbs) I don't think you can go wrong with a gun marked Old Reliable. :D

I have owned a C, Sharps Arms 1874 Model for better than 10 yrs. and I find the quality to be first rate.  Its in .45-70 and shoots only black powder and it performs way better than I had hoped for.  I have acouple of shooting pards with 1875 models which they are both happy with, also.  Get one in the '74 Model in whatever barrel/caliber you like and prepare to grin a lot.
