I killed geese with my 10ga this morning. It's a 26" BPS. When I bought it many years ago I intended to also use if for turkey hunting but I quickly decided it was too heavy to carry around all day. As such, it only draws duty during late season goose hunts. I like the dry-lok 3 1/2" BBBs behind a 3 1/2" 2.
If you want an auto I believe you can still get the Mag 10. Maybe some other guys know who else makes a 10.
If you're going to use a 12ga in 3 1/2" (I don't recommend this) I'd get a benelli or winchester. I've got 2 of the benellis and they are a quality product. Two of the best duck hunters/guides I know shoot the Super X2 and swear by it. They don't shoot 3 1/2" shells, and I only shoot them for turkeys so I can't speak to the reliability. The recoil will make you cry. Then you'll think about the 10ga which is a platform built to compensate for that type of recoil.
