The next time you take the top off a soda bottle save it.  They make good
targets to keep your minute of squirrel head shooting sharp since they are small and show up well at a decent distance. Take a few and hang them off twigs or stick them in the place where a branch comes out of the trunk see who can knock them off at various distances...... no rests or leaning against trees

WD45,
You do this with a RF handgun?  I'd have to put a bottle cap on a paper target so I could tell how much I missed it by! :o

SURE its great fun ..... I didnt say how many I actually hit :)
It is also the challenge of doing something more difficult. It is different than shooting at a flat piece of paper and makes it more interesting.
We started with tops off of spray cans and detergent bottles and progressivly got smaller. You ever see any footage of those old timers busting those little glass balls thrown in the air with rifles and pistols ??
Ever wonder how many times they tried before they hit one ?
They just kept trying until they could :-)

I use them for air pistol and rifle targets.  They really fly when hit.

Try taking a 2x4 board and cutting a shallow groove in it by making one pass with a skill saw. Then stand crackers in this groove. They shatter really well when hit and there is no clean up. (critters gotta eat too) For a little more challenge you can use Necco wafer candy. You can also eat your target if the munchies hit.  :-D
The Lord didnt create anything without a purpose, but mosquitoes come close. :D

I shoot piles of bottle caps too. I like the yellow Pepsi lids the best, but white lids work good too.

Yea, the bright yellow ones show up real well in the sights. Even the green ones arent to bad because of the brightness of the color.
