I just recieved my mosin scopemount from Interordance of America its like the orginal russian mosin mount but it has a weaver type rail on top instead of the fixed rings. It costs $59.95+ shipp.                BigBill

BigBill:  Is this the mount that requires you to cut and weld the bolt handle to get it to clear the scope?  Also, does this mount attach to the left side of the rifle and does it have 3 mounting holes tapped into it.  Are those holes all in line or a bit offset?  

I'm still looking for something to mount to my Ljungman and would love to find an original or repro scope mount for a Swede Model 41B (sniper) as I think that may fit the Ljungman and also wonder if the Moison mount could be modified to fit.  Mikey.

Mikey There is a Hakim scopemount its a flat plate with the scope rail mounted vertical instead of horizontal so the scope rings sit horizontal too. I'm trying to get a picture of it from the guy who has one so I can copy it.  If i can't get a pic i just may fab one it can't be that hard to do.

Hakim/Ljungman Scope Mounts

BigBill:  I have never seen a scope mount for either of those two rifles but I'll just betcha there are a bunch of them here in country and a whole buncha folks who would love to scope them out, me included.  

Now, being the thinking man that I am, if you could fabricate a good enough mount for either rifle you might find yourself a life-long endeavor that would keep you in bullet money.  It would be very super to know that I might be able to buy a scope mount for either of those two rifles - of course that would also mean that I would have to get a Hakim just so I could have an 8mm semi-auto rifle.  Way cool.  Mikey.

BigBill:  would you be able to post a picture of that mount when you get it??  I would be very interested in seeing it and seeing if it can be duplicated or if the design can be applied to the Ljungman.  Actually, I think it would be extra Kool to have a scoped Ljungman and just as kool to have a scoped Hakim.  Mikey.

This mosin scopemount went fine on my 91/30 low wall reciever all you have to do is to line up the rear of the scopemount bracket with the "boss" of the stripper clip slot and that lines up the front to back position.  On the side to side I knotched out the stock a little at a time until the horzontal level of the rear site was the same.  The bracket on the stock sits a little down hill but it has an adjustment on "tipping" it until the scope bracket sits level on the reciever.  This is a nice feature of the orginal russian mount that it still has.  Now my only next thing is to fab the bent bolt.                                                       BigBill
