Military style post scope
« on: April 23, 2004, 08:54:19 AM »
I've been looking for a military style post scope instead of the cross hair style like the one the germans used in their sniper 98k rifle.  I don't want a scope for hunting but would rather have one as close to an orginal military scope as I could find but affordable since i need a few of them. I found a scope that suites my needs and is priced very reasonable.  I found it at CDNN Investments its a Ultralux #ULT 55377 6X42, 3 post reticle, 26MM tube,  in black matt finish, comes with rings  and costs only $29.99.  Its a heavy well made scope and is great for plinkin/shooting targets at the range is all i wanted it for.  They have a few different ones on sale and all great buys.  My hunting scopes I'm fussy about because their for use in low light conditions and used in all types of weather conditions too but for just for fun plinkin this one serves its purpose.

The military post reticle is a really neat scope to shoot it kind of caught on to me because using it on the military video games.

BigBill, I have the same 6X42 German reticle scope on my CETME.  I like it, just put that pointed tip of the bottom post on target, and it's pretty accurate!  Previously, I had it on my .223 Bushmaster Bullpup, but never could get the eye-relief quite right.  It's perfect on the CETME.  With the chopo's fairly light recoil, it should remain in good shape.

The first one impressed me I ordered two more to scope all three of my surplups that i wanted to scope with good "cheap" affordable scopes.  There isn't many low dollar 3 post scopes around most are high dollar ones.  And they come with rings too.                         BigBill

I just mounted one on my SVT-40 Tokarev but I haven't shot it yet. I want to see how good the 7.62x54 match ammo I bought a while back groups in it.  And i was thinking of putting one on my Cetme too.
