HW-35 range results

Well I finally got some free time recently to break-in the recently "tuned up" 35 and with a scope the groups finally started to come together. I took it up to the local range and ran a series of different pellet types and weights and the crosman premier worked out the best, just like big 6x6 said it would. All shots were taken at 25' and I posted one of the targets below. Not bad for a 20 year old springer. The lower left got a follow-up shot cuz the guy next to me started to unload on his AR-10 right when I took the first shot, call it a mulligan.

Pretty good shootin' gmcman. I plan to scope or red dot sight my R7 one of these days as well. Also have an older HW30 that was just over-hauled and it shoots like a dream again. Air rifle shooting can be addictive!

I could'nt get a hold of a chrony that I was hoping to but I will in a week or so. With the new slightly stronger spring it is estimated around 700-750 FPS. It was very obvious the lighter loads were unstable in flight and were keyholing slightly. The problem with the 40mm trophy is that it sits high on the gun, at 25' it was zeroed and at 100' the pellet was still above the sight line.
