Got bored yesterday

,so I went to a sporting goods store yesterday,and I saw four of the most beautiful 86's.He had four grades three were French gray with gold inlay and one blue.I didnt lever the action so I cant tell if there as smooth as the originals or not.Does anybody have one?Lp.

Yep! Unfortunately only one, plane jane 26" octagonal barrel. It seems on mine, if you cycle the action briskly it's butter smooth, but if you try to "baby" it through the cycle, it hangs on every change of somethings direction

when ya come to Alaska this summer for ya hike look me up
I got 4 of those things and 2 orignals i will even let ye shoot them.
I found some are like mister ford says but they are smoother when cycled
with ammo and after a little use they get really slicked up i have two of the
new takedown win /japs and brown/jap 1 highgrade and 1 montana centennial
and they are really smooth and well made put nearly 800 rounds
through the one and i use hunting and I have to admit
it sure has surprised me on how accurrate it is with b/p
and hard cast bullets and man you can pump out some lead in a hurry its built well.
I have a original in 45-90 and a 40-82 both look to be hardly used but what a
pleasure to behold. The rebounding hammer hasnt been a prob on the take down
I thought about changing it out but it does just fine.
they are well balanced i wouldnt mind getting one of the extra lite.Rifles
Most of these were gifts i got from people except the original

Hi Butler and DBM.That sounds mighty fine BM.just might stop in and shoot that thing.You will have to send me your coordinates so I can find you.
That 86 was nice I wouldnt ratchet the action I would never do that to a fine rifle that I dont own.All that gold inlay on that French gray reciever just caught my eye and it's still in there.If I didnt have a #1 sharps comming with all that fancy wood on it I would probly have taken it home with me HI.HI.
I will probly be up some time in early June and paddle out in the Sound,and look at the Wales and Orkas with the Kayak,allways wanted to do that.Lp.

Lead Pot, I envy you that trip!! I guess that new sharps will make an awfuly nice "consolation" prize!!! :-D
