By any chance are the G2 and Encore grips the same? Or is the Encore still too wide in the back.

I don't think they are.

I contacted the folks at Packmeyer and Hogue and they both have projects in R&D as of right now. No dates yet though. I also emailed Georgia Jim and he will start work on the G2 in the near future.

Are stainless G2's available yet? Here in Texas, I have seen very few G2's, and the ones I have seen are blued. The question came to mind when reading this topic as the stainless encores come with the rubber grip. I have been waiting to buy a G2 when I find a stainless one.

Don't want to sound like I am throwing stones, but it seems as if TC is not meeting demands for their new product (G2)! This new piece has been available for a while now and people around the country are not getting their hands on them. We are a greedy bunch and want our G2's now!

Anybody know what is up with TC? Are they so small an operation that they can't handle their G2 demands? They need to get the G2 out, both blued and SS models. And how about some other grips. My hands are starting to hurt shooting all those .375 JDJ's.

I am under the impression that the G2 is the only contender that they make now. Is that correct? If that is so, why haven't they tooled up in anticipation for the market demand?

Just a few thoughts on this annoying subject. :roll:

I don't see any information about a SS G2 at all. When I asked there didn't seem to be one in the future either, but that may change of course.

Last time at the gun store they had four in the case and more in the back. I guess around here they are becoming more available.

Thanks for the info on the SS G2's. I just assumed that they were already producing them. The blued ones just became a whole lot more interesting!

I ordered a G2 frame from a small local sporting goods dealer. I had it in my hands in 3 days. I had heard the same story about the limited availability but apparently the dealer I bought from claims his distributor had several. I paid $239 plus tax. Added a 7-30 waters barrel and a 2x6 bushnel. I have put it all together but I have not yet fired it. I am a first time TC owner and reloader. I have bought all the reloading equipment and supplies. As soon as I have read the manual a few more times I will be putting some rounds together a squeezing the trigger.
