Need a timer but won't go to Radi0 S#@!<
« on: May 02, 2004, 02:21:01 PM »
Wasn't sure if blasting a brand name on this forum was against the rules.  But I vowed to never go in that store 18 years ago.
I'm real new at this game and the only place that I know of that sells them is the ONE store I refuse to patronize.

So where can I find a count down timer online?
What kind do you use?

shootingpaul, thanks for the offer, but I have friends locally who could go in for me.  But it's a matter of principal to me.  I won't spend money there.  Not even $8.

kahuna, looks like a plan, thanks.

genphideaux, I tried our Wal Mart.  They didn't have any.  There were empty slots all over the place though, maybe they had them, but were sold out.

I stole my wife's Pampered Chef kitchen timer.
Unfortunately she never missed it.
Probably any kitchen gadget store will have something similar.

My wife shares your views about RS.  I can take them or leave them.
Anyway where I live there is a chain of sporting good stores called
"Acamedy" (sp).  I don't know it they are a national chain or just in Texas.  They have a good selection of timers.   I bought one with very large dual readouts.   Unfortunately I think it may be smarter than I am.....  Don

Hey thanks for the responses.  I did find one at Wal Mart.  I was in the wrong section.
Being a bachelor, I had no idea they used them for cooking.    Microwaves have their own timers don't they?  What do I need another timer for in the kitchen?  Oh well,

shootingpaul, thanks for the link to Sinclair.  (told ya I was new) never heard of them, and they have all kinds of stuff I need.

Boy, Wal Mart robbed me though, $5    and it is just like the one I borrowed at the last match.

You should be able to get one at a camera store, one that has dark room stuff.
