Shell storage in but stock??
« Reply #30 on: March 29, 2004, 11:24:37 AM »
Yes it does use the stock bolt hole. The gun is a smooth bore deer gun that says, SB1 on the barrel. The serial number is NF320XXX. I think it would be interesting to see when this gun was made because it is in perfect condition. I guess this makes two interesting deer guns I have, this one and the one with the factory magnaporting in the end of the barrel. Thanks for the replies.

Scruffy - My sawed off Pardner in 12 ga. is THE MOST fun gun to shoot that I own right now. I laugh outloud after every slug I run thru it and I'm able to get the same groups that you are at 40 -50 yds, bead only.

Griz, Call H&R man! Cust. Service # is 978-632-9393. Give them the serial # and they will give you the date of manufacture, who it was made for and, most importantly, tell you if that is in fact a Tracker1. End this suspense, it's killin me  :)  :-D  :)

Hey,got a Tracker I (smoothbore) with the "speedfeed" style stock from Wal-Mart in the late '90's. Replaced the stock & forearm a couple of weeks ago with the Choates' synthetic stock & forearm. If anyone is interested in them I might let them go.

Thats a big "10-4" as the phoney cops on TV say VC, but then again I guess some departments do still use the old "10" code, I guess it works so why change it.  sd550 and I have come to an agreement and I am now just waiting for the arrangements of sending the funds to him and the stocks should be enroute to me, I can hardley wait!! I'm going to fix them up a spot on my 12 Gauge "Tracker I" clone with the scope rail. It has a 24" smoothbore barrel with a rail and screw in choke tubes carrying a cylinder bore tube right now. It's about to get sighted in with Brenneke 1 oz slugs. Of course if the stocks are for a 20 gauge then it will go onto a receiver which is to carry my newley aquired (new old stock) nickled 20 gauge modified barrel. Life is good. I don't want to alieniate sd550 but perhaps tonight, now that you have me thinking about it again, I'll send him another PM about paying him. On second thought, life is great!!!...<><....

Griz, you did a good job starting this thread (but to tell you the truth small things amuse us). I am happy about it also, I am getting a set of stocks from sd550 as soon as he sends his address so I can send him the agreed upon amount, or he lets me know how to get the funds to him. Hope I hear from him soon!!....<><....

Great news guys, I heard from sd550 tonight, the check is going out tomorrow and he will be sending me the stock set when he gets the check. He should have the check by Saturday and I would expect using priority mail as he is going to ship, I should have the stocks by the middle or end of next week at the latest. Thanks to all involved. sd550, VarmitController and to the typist Pam, you know who you are....<><....
