I have been hunting the big birds since April 26th in the Bay State. Alas, to no avail till this morning. At 5:55 AM, I shot an 18.6 pound gobbler at 26 paces with a 3 1/2" 12 guage mag. One shot did it. Both Dad and I were elated after not getting anything during the season so far.
