Using the new casting pot (remember I destroyed my old one)
« on: September 09, 2004, 01:32:54 PM »
After smashing my old pot from 5 1/2 feet onto solid concrete TWICE, it died.  The post is down below somewhere.

So got my backup out (same brand and type, a Lee) and it is amazing how much faster it heats up and stays hot.  I was just about able to get ahead of it but that was after 45 minutes and that's my limit.

After that I get "felony stupid" and clumsily and 20# of 700* lead and me are not a good combination.  I was able to blow up a pot of lead by adding some water to it--but that's another story.

In any event the limiting factor now is me.  And that's OK since I don't have to wait on anything else.
