Hey Fella's

For me it will be my new Remington M700 Mountain Rifle in 30/06 loaded with 165 Nosler Partitions.  I chase elk, mulies, and whitetails all on opening day!

I'm surprised that for as many votes that I have seen for the 7-08 being a great all around cartridge, no one is "toting" that caliber on opening day.

Curious,

Because I have to hunt from or very near to my Jeep I will have a .257 Ackley (12 pounds, 4X12 Variable ) in the back seat and an old M70 with a 2 1/2 Leaupold in the front seat (30-06).  May switch off to A Browning A-Bolt in 7-08 sometimes, just to get it out of the safe.....Essex

It's a toss up for me. With two 7600 pumps in 270 Win. , NEF 7mm-08, H&R Ultra w/stainless 30-06 barrel, Rossi 357 Maximum, and a Savage 30-30 over 20 gauge, plus my Ruger GP100 357 Mag. it gets pretty confusing. :?   Hey I could take my Ruger mini 30 stoked with remington 125 psp. Ask me the night before the 22nd of November. Might have it narrowed down, unless I get something else.  I know, I know, I have a sickness. But, what fun we have.  :) On a serious note, more than likely it will be one of the 7600 pumps in 270 Win.

It was going to be my 30/30 H&R Handi. But if my son passes the hunter safety course he will be carried it. So, I will be carrying my 12g H&R slug gun again. Although I may borrow a friend's Marlin 30/30 if he not using it. I started reloading and would really like to try out some of my reloads.

Also will be using my Huntsman during muzzleloader and my new Hoyt during bow season.

For Ohio's deer gun season, I plan on using a Magnum Research Lone Eagle 44mag. pistol.  If I get one with that during the gun season, I'll then switch to my NEF Huntsman 50cal. muzzleloader.  In Ohio, we're only allowed shotguns, muzzleloaders, pistols, and bows(long bows or crossbows).

I'm gonna use my Marlin 336CS in 35 Rem. I think I'm gonna put a Leupold VX-II 2-7x33mm shotgun scope on it.
