I have an AR in 300/221 have loaded some 130's and 150's and have a good load in each weight.I tried the 125g nosler ballistic tips every where i read how good they are. I cant find an OAL on theses i seated them at 2.200 and got poped primers at 17.6g of w296started at 15g.I was wondering if my overall length could be the problem.I did run into pressure problems before max on the 130's and 150's.
My contender load manual shows a 125g spitzer at 2.050 but,i 'am afraid this will increase pressure more.Iam also having some trouble with the 150's coming unseated when round chambers causing powder to go everywhere will a factory crimp die help me here.
