contender history?

As I recall I bought my TC about 1975.  Serial number  239690.  Can anybody supply info. on when this TC was built?  I use it on a regular basis to manage ground diggers in .17 HMR and for yotes in .223.

If you will look at the first post in this forum (the one marked please read before posting) you will find a link to a chart that has serial numbers and dates of manufacture for Contenders.  I think your sn puts manufacture in spring of 1984.

Look at the bright side... your memory might be slipping, but the serial number (making it the later date) confirms your frame as an easy open - best classic frame they ever produced.
