In case anyone who may have an interest and lives within driving distance of Ridgway, PA, we are having a 10 shot levergun match on Sunday, June 13, starting at about 2:00 in the afternoon at the Ridgway Rifle Club.
Any centerfire lever action rifle, cast bullets only.
Two classes - iron sights and scope. One can compete in one or both classes, 10 shots each + as many sighting in shots one would require to get on target prior to firing the match.
The target is the 300 meter (327 yards) NRA steel pig silhouette. 10 rounds will be fired at 10 individual targets from a freestyle (prone, sitting, etc.) shooting position.
The entry fee is $5.00 per rifle.
Spectators are welcome!
It sure is interesting to hear the bullet strike and the watch the steel pig disappear if the shot is true.
The club is located on the west side of town on Grant Road. Follow the main street west and you will see a sign for the Rifle Club. The silhouette range is located on another road just before the clubhouse.
