I remeber some time ago[ several years] there were reports about european boars released in the frazer valley and the fish and wildlifedept was urging anybodt seeeing one to shoot it as they wan;ted to eradicate them on the grounds they did so much damage to cropland.
Does anybody remember that- and were all of them wiped out- or did they survive?

I remember this story as well. I understand that a restaurant owner at Harrison Lake imported the pigs and when buisness wasn't going good he released them. I spoke with Thomas @ Hub Sports in Abbotsford         (604-859-8316) and he said that they used to hunt them but haven't seen any for a few years now.
