I was thinking about pruchasing one of these scopes for a 10/22 for target shooting between 50-100+ yards.  Just wondering about the clarity and focus at 50 yards.  If you can help, let me know. :D

Good question, but the answer is I don't know.  This scope has an incredible 100" of adjustment at 100 yards - most scopes have around 50 or 60 at best.  Bushnell's website doesn't say at what range the scope is parallaxed, but, since it is not an AO, and since it is a fixed 10x (which means that it is usually used at longer distances) I really don't think that it is parallaxed at 50 yards (but I can't verify this either.)

Maybe Jon at the opticzone might know.

Oh, and BTW, WELCOME TO GRAYBEARDOUTDOORS! :D

I found this on another board:

"Bushnell elite 3200 10x40 mildot. I used one with a savage rifle and got good groups and repeatability at fair ranges. It has nice 1/4 MOA target turrets and a dull matte finish........ The parallax is set by the factory at 100 yds and isn't adjustable. Past a few hundred yards, it caused my groups to be inconsistant. It's no Leupold, but definetley worth the price and would be my choice for your needs."

And a nice review from Downunder....

And the best price, of course http://www.theopticzone.com

To be honest, you won't find another Mil Dot scope with the quality and price of the Elite 3200 10x40!

Greetings!

I have to agree with TheOpticZone on this one - these are GREAT scopes.
I just bought one to put on my new "backwoods rifle" I detailed in the Bolt Action forum, and so far it has performed VERY well.  I am very happy with mine so far - I don't think I could have made a better choice for a rugged fixed power scope, ESPECIALLY when considering the mil-dot reticle.  Bright, clear, consistent, waterpoof - what more could you want from a scope?

The fact that it is a fixed power (less lenses, less moving parts, less weight) is also a nice bonus, at least in my book!

Best wishes,
Bawko
