I have a Whitworth rifle with a wood stock that has nice figure and some man-made -- probably factory -- eye sores. Stamped chechering -- brrrr!--, whitle spacers -- double brrrr, and a finish that is too glare-y for my tastes.
Is there anyone around who would undo these problems -- give it serviceable hand-chekering -- no fleur de lis or anything; replace the ebony fore end and pistol grip gaps w/o a spacer; and then leave the stock un-finshed so that I could do a hand-rubbed finish myself?
What would it cost?
Thanks,
