300 Rem Ultra Mag

I have a new Sako 75 Hunter in the 300 Rem Ultra Mag.
What scope would you mount on it and why?
Also, Who has the best deal on your scope choice?

At least four fingers eye relief.

I would say Leoupold is the best for eye relief. Eye relief is important so you don't split your face open when you are sighting in..then you will decvelop a flinch from fear of getting hit and over-compensate, throw off accuracy.  I put a Bushnell Elite 2-7 on mine and it is borderline for eye relief, but an excellent scope for the money.  I just recently got a Redfield Iluminator for my Whelen, it is pretty good too.  But go to the store and look through all of them..if you have the money....just get the Leoupold and be done with it.  You won't regret it.

Can't knock the Leupold - excellent optics (at least on the new VXIII), great tracking, great reliability and durability, and great eye relief.  I think that the new VXIII line has much better optics than the older Vari-X III (of which I own a few).  But there are other options as well.  Keep in mind, however, that as magnification goes up, the eye relief on the Leupold, as well as other manufacturers, goes down.  As such, you may have 4.5" of eye relief at, say, 4x, but only 3.5" at, say, 10x.

I have an Elite 4200 4x-16x-50mm AO mounted on my 7 Ultra Mag.  This scope has 3.5" of eye relief and it seems fine for even this big boomer.  A 300 Ultra may need a bit more eye relief, though.

Take a look at the Zeiss Conquest 3x-9x-40mm.  It has a full 4" of constant eye relief.  And it's a great scope too.  Optics are just as good, if not better, than the Elite 4200.

You may also want to take a look at the Nikon Monarch Gold.  These scopes have a 30mm tube, but also have 4" of constant eye relief.  Optics are top notch, and the performance is excellent.
