Taurus dating?

I just came across a NIB 85 in SS at a good price. Owner sais it was "10-15 years old" but unsure. Ser # is NC83xxx.  I took the gun home ( to compliment my 85CH ss) but am still curious as to approximate manufacture date. I was wondering if anyone had a link to some dating info and or some knowledge in this area. Any help appreciated.
