Need BL-C(2) Pet Loads .223
« on: June 02, 2004, 01:55:34 PM »
Just got Some BL-C (2) to try for first time:
Any pet Loads for 50-55 V-Max.

I tried 26.0 gr.
CCI Mag primer
50 V-Max
OCL 2.285
Twice fired Win. Brass
First 2 groups were about .5 and .6 with a flyer in each making them 1" and 1.4"
Third group was .32
All groups were 4 shot's. Should I try A standard primer ?
Failure is not an option

I use 26.5 grains with a standard Remington small rifle primer under a Hornady  52 grain SPBT. It gives me consistant results under an inch at 100 yards with a Contender Carbine. I use the same load in my 222 Magnum out of a 700 Remington. I use RP brass for both.......hope this helps.
