Hey there everyone, I am really new to all this so take it easy. I was wondering How much would a 10 inch pistol cost with a .223 barrel? How accurate are they and how far does their accuracy go? I would be using the gun for prariee dogs and as a back up for yotes durring big game seasons. I'm Interested and up for a new challenge. It really sounds like fun, considering that you dont get to shoot a rifle caliber out of a pistol verry often. Thanks for your info! Henry.

Hello Henry welcome! If your looking to get a 10" TC Contender NEW then your looking at roughly $450 - $550. You can find them used at gun shows. I got lucky and bought a Contender in 223 with a new Leupold 2X for $300. It was used but had not hardly even been handled. As with the range of a 223 in a 10" barrel? Well my TC drops them in there nicely at 100 yards - I can cover my three shot group with a half dollar at that range. I am sure the gun can shoot way better than that. I'm certain its the operator! but as with most I don't think the 223 shines until you get it in at least a 14".  Good Luck,  Half

henry1 - Halfacop is right, the .223 is really better suited for a 14" barrel...the tradeoff is that the 14" barrel is not as handy to carry around or shoot off-hand.  The .223 can be a real "flamethrower" in a 10" variety.

I have a 10" .223 barrel that I was going to auction off that we might be able to agree upon a price if you are interested.  No problem if I just talked you out of a 10",  but I thought I'd offer if that is what you really want.
