I was planning on loading some 30-30 ammo using IMR 4198. I have some 130 grain Hornady SSP bullets but can't find any load data using 4198. I have found load data for 125 grain and 135 grain but not the 130s. Does anyone have any?

Hornady list data for that bullet weight and IMR-4198. But, why not just start with the lightest recommended charge for the 135 grain bullet and work your way up? Good-luck...BCB

IMR Powder website shows data for 4198 in a rifle, only lists 3031 and 4064 for the bullet you mention in T/C Contender.

On page 82 of the Complete Reloading Manual for the Contender I have, in the Hornady section they show a starting load of 22.8grs. of IMR-4198, and a MAX load of 27.3grs. on IMR-4198 with a 130gr. Hornady Spire Point #3020. The data was tested in a 10" T/C Contender with a 1 in 14" twist. The Case as tested was Frontier, and the Primer listed is a Federal #210. Muzzle Velocity in the 10" Barrel is listed as 1700 FPS for the Starting Load and 2100 FPS for the MAX Load.
