Time for next Postal Match????
« on: May 26, 2004, 11:40:37 AM »
It was suggested in the Postal Match Results thread that we have a match again in October. Sounds pretty good to me, but it would be nice to firm it up a bit. Also , it should be noted that October is dead in the middle or att eh beginning of firearms hunting seasons for many of us and it could be better a little earlier in the year, perhaps at the end of August or within the first 2 weeks of September. What do you guys think????

Whenever you guys want to set the deadline is fine with me.  It really doesn't take that long to grade the cards.

One thing I will say is that no matter when you set the deadline, nobody really sends the cards in until the last couple of weeks

I will grade the cards again if you want me to, unless someone else just wants to do it.

How about Octber 4th as a deadline...gives a full weekend at the first of the month for all of us late shooters  It's not going to be too hot and not into the rainy part of the month here in the Heartland.....

Oct 2nd is Virginia Archery opening day, so my firearms shooting and testing  will have been done long before that day. My cards will be ready  and sent by September, so whatever date after September is fine with me.
 My goal is to have cards for ;
 TrackerII 20ga
Scope mounted Topper 20ga smooth bore set up for foster type slugs
 30-30
 357 magnum and Maximum
And any other H&R I purchase between now and August.

October 4th it is then, rules stay the same. Wlscott has said he would grade 'em again. (Our deepest thanks) There is plenty time for newtimers and oldtimers alike to tune up, throw down, and blast 'em out! Good luck, good shootin' and great fun! :-D  :-D  :-D

Sorry guys, I was out of town for the weekend.

October 4 is fine with me.  Rules stand as they were for the last one.

Hey, you can count me in too. On shooting the postal card do you shoot it longways up or longways on its side? Do you shoot it like with the 5inches in the air or do you shoot it with the 5 inches on the floor? Verticle or horizontal. Theres the word i was looking for. I CANT WAIT!

Henry, doesn't mater.  Just shoot the dang thing

I made the statement that the rules stand as they were.  I think I'm going to move the .17HMR out to a hundred unless I hear any major problems from anyone with that.

I dont have a problem with that new rule! Give them a challenge for the little cartrige that could!

Jeff,
How about we give you a HANDIcap, lets say you shoot ten shot groups, and we stay at five? Oh heck, I'd still lose! But it's fun trying.
