Chopped BC Barrel

  The barrel is drilled and tapped just like the other Handi rifles, the only exception is that it also has the dovetail up front for the front sight mount. In my case, it used to have that dove tail. I had used the scope base off my 7mm-08 for the BC. I just recently installed a Leupold Vari-X II 2.5x8 on this. I'm still playing with the idea of a scout mount, ala Haywire Haywood, and a red dot sight, but that's still in the pondering stage.

Thanks for the info blue.....I'm still on the fence on ordering the barrel.....Now would be a good time to do it though as I have no time to shoot so wouldn't miss the receiver that much... :roll:  Is the BC barrel the same dia. all the way down the barrel and do you know the dia??

The BC barrel is tapered, but do not knoe the dimensions.  I'm guessing around .75 - .80 at the muzzle.  They call it a medium weight barrel but that's only because the almost a half inch hole in the middle of it. :grin:

  The chamber end measures 1.12", muzzle end.80", and at 27",  the spot where I cut it measured .82".
