Help with Olympus 750 Ultra Zoom
« on: May 16, 2004, 01:22:36 PM »
I want to set my camera up for a picture so the shutter trips when I push the botton.  Right now it has a a delay of about a half second.

I also want to use the remote control to trip the shutter and have the camera take a series of stills, much like a motor drive on a regular camera.

Anybody know how to get the Olympus 750 Ultra Zoom to do this stuff.

I want to capture a group of Martini rifle shooter firing a volley.

Don't have your model, but have a couple of other Olympus models.  What I suspect is that the delay in the shutter release is laser focusing finding the range.  On mine if you hold the shutter button partially down, a light comes on in the view finder to show you locked in the range and then continue to push down the shutter button the rest of the way to release the shutter.

On mine I can use it to take a Quick Time Movie mode.  From there you may be able to capture the screen shot that you want.

I am probably all wet thinking this is the same on your model, but thinking the concept is the same.

Thomas,

Thanks, I found the Movie mode  yesterday, by accident.  now I need to upgrade my photo-host sigth to accept movies.  I also need to figure out how to edit the movies.

I figured the range finder was the hold up in the "instant' fire mode.  I was hoping there was some simple override.

I haven't quite figured all the controls out yet.  But I am getting there

I know what you mean about figuring out all of the features, still working on that here.  Everytime I explore the manual I seem to find something else.

Hey DD, try the Olympus forum at Steves Digicams (www.steves-digicams.com, I think.) They can help you with your C-750.

(Hey Thomas, how ya doin?)
