just wondering if anyone has a prostaff and what they think of it im looking at putting a fixed 4 power on a slug gun and was wondering what they are like

My buddy, Big Tom, just got one put on his Sako 75 hunter 280 the other day. I looked thru it at the range and was very impresses. It was very clear even in comparison to several other higher price scopes that we were shooting with. For the money, it is a very good buy.

Actually the ProStaff 3X9X40 was mounted on a Rem model 7 LS and was well worth the 149$. :grin:

The problem with Big Tom is that he brings so many different rifles to the range that I can not remember what went with what :? Of course the good thing is that he lets me shoot em :grin:

I have two of them, one on a 22 magnum and the other on a Remington 700 .222.

I am very happy with mine, nice and clear, lifetime warranty. So far so good.

I think the 4 power one is for 22 rimfires according to the literature on them so I don't know how it would hold up on a slug gun. They make a 2-7x32 that they are targeting towards shotguns. Again I don't know for sure if one is any more rugged than the other.

thanks for the advise i went on the nikon site and realised that the 4 power is a rimfire scope so i think ill look at the 2-7 and maybe bushnell as well only problem is i live in canada so i just realised its a little harder to get a nikon from the local dealer
