My RANT for Today!

RANT ALERT! RANT ALERT! RANT ALERT!

Yes indeed! Times are changing. The far left has gotten most of the things they've wanted for the past several decades. One would think they would, at this point, realize they don't know what's best for themselves. From Woodstock, to many years of feeding a constant supply of Hollywood brand manure to our impressionable youth, and now wanting to marry the same sex and legitimize extreme, sick perversion.

Yup, if you want to know why our country sucks more each day, ya don't have to look any further than over your left shoulder.

The good news is that the normal and sensible people in this country are finally learning how to fight to stem the tide of liberalism and socialism. And we're doing it. A lot of folks are now saying "enough is enough." Many of them even post here. Our numbers are indeed bigger. It's just that we haven't played the game until recently.

We can win. We will win because we have no choice anymore. To snooze means to give the enemy more ground. What bugs me most right now is our Churches. Why? They are too afraid to become politically involved. The liberals have perceived the dangers of the "Church" well in advance. Just think back to all the whoopla about "Separation of Church & State." And why is this an issue anyway? Simple. The liberals want to keep the grassroots of America as trimmed as possible.

Churches need to start teaching and motivating their members to manuever the political system, and be willing to take the risks that come along with it. Instead of relentlessly praying and making noise, they need to put some feet to those prayers - which is a "howto" book unto itself.

We need to regain CONTROL of the government, and that happens by either running for an office, or voting, or both. Pretty simple huh? You don't need to fear a John Kerry if he can't get the votes.

Now this may piss off some of you, but do I care? We've gotten too fat and lazy eating our venison burgers and drinking our beer. We've done this for so long now, that most of us don't even possess enough sense of self-worth to even run for our local school boards. We've gotten self-centered to the point where we're not willing to get off our happy little butts to fix anything.

If you added up the number of gun owners and Christians in this country, and if they ALL voted at least ONCE a year, that would be the end of the socialist threat in America. Fast and quick! The problem is so obvious here that it's rediculous to even have to type it out.

We ALREADY have the backbone, and the saddest thing to ponder is how the liberals and socialists have been ever paralyzing it on us for years and years. The bible has a proverb that goes something like this: "All a man has to do is fold up his arms for a little while and danger at poverty will be right at his doorstep."

So where is YOUR enthusiasmn anyway? Do you get sick and tired of hearing people ask you to vote? Do you get sick and tired of hearing people ask you to write letters? If so, WHERE is your enthusiam? Do you think it won't make any difference anyway? IF so, then you're already dead, and you ARE the problem.  To my friends I say, get off your collective arses for a change and do SOMETHING.

America will either become unique in it's freedoms once again, or we'll let our liberal/socialists lead us right down the path of England or Austrailia.  The choice in the matter REALLY IS YOURS!

In any case, more of us are making our names known instead of hiding in a box called home, or church, or the woods. This is a GOOD thing.

The only problem I can see with your post is that you are preaching to the wrong crowd!    Most all of us agree with you that go to these gun forums. Even the Hunting forums most agree. It is hunters and gun owners who do not believe they should join the NRA or do not believe that gun control will ever become law here are the ones you and I have to reach and they are not members here or on any other gun or hunting forum. We do have some problems in our great country and it will be a fight all the way with half the country being liberals. Or at least the liberals misleading some that should know better and hopefully will learn of their mistakes. The word needs to get out to those on the fence and I am not sure if even they will listen. I hate to say it but I think it will take a few more 911's to wake up some of these folks and by then hopefully it will not be too late. Thank God there are some of us who will act like our forfathers and hopefully save this country from its ruin!!  Jim

I've gotta agree with you Jim. I've sent similar rants to the editor of our local paper, but do they ever get published?

To some degree though, I think there is an audience here as well. Alot of people come to places like this and vent, but they really don't know how to make constructive use of their energy/anger.

Bam Bams - the days of the local preacher telling his flock that after services there will be a sunday dinner and everyone should bring his/her rifle for the shootin' contest may not be over.  Unfortunately, many of those you find behind the pulpit are as gutless as the politicians who advocate for the disarming of America.

I doubt you will find an inner city priest telling his congregation to make certain they get out to the range at least once a month and to keep their firearms clean or to teach their children safe gun handling - but you may find some Southern Baptist Ministers doing just that.

I think that separation of church and state is a good thing - good grief, can you imagine a state run by the Archdiocese - well, they have lots of that in the middle east, but thankfully not here.  You may have gotten an earful or read an eyeful of the latest goings on but I really think (and I hope, my friend) that what we read and hear about is the exception, not the norm.

And this business about same sex marriages - now some of the state's attorney generals are telling mayors that those 'unions' aren't legal and won't be honored.  I don't think we have a 'tide of liberalism' to worry about - the thing about all this left wing stuff is that when it goes too far it becomes offensive to many, and although many are not quite as vociferous about our beliefs as we may be, when the curtain closes behind them in the voting booth the results are much more conservative.

Just as you referenced hollyworst, socialism and the church, I believe they are local phenomena and also feel that America is far too conservative to allow the blight to spread too far.

An interesting phenomenum is the 'gay bashing'.  In this area or that, a number of gays will get bashed about, or worse.  Then the liberals and the churches go about demanding legislation and laws to protect them.  Then the laws are enacted and basically you see the bashing stopped.  But, what you also don't see is the 'flaunting' that brought about the bashing in the first place.  So yes, the lesson has been learned on both ends - you can do as you wish in America as long as you do not injure or bring harm or visit harmful intent on others (break the law), but it is also in your best interest to avoid situations where you might bring harm to yourself (flaunt it).

Thanks for the alert, and the chance to put my two cents worth into the pot.  Mikey.

Thank you Bam Bam. You told the truth and I'm proud of it. My Dad was a POW in WW 11 in Japan. When a company from there came to our town to build a plant the whole town wanted us to meet at the schools and learn their culture. Well long story short when in Rome do as the Romans do, that also applies to Tennessee.
Thanks
Gary
