has anyone used Lymans 310 reloading tool,I would like to reload for my 45/70 rifles.

I actually feel that a small bench mounted or hand held press, such as a Lyman would better serve you. The 310 tools aren't in manufacture any longer and the dies are a special breed in themselves. A Black & Decker work mate will make the whole set-up portable enough to go into a closet.

If you have the 310 tool and dies already, it will work, but slowly.
Lube cases correctly as it does not have very strong extraction power.
That said, I have shot several thousand 44 Mags loaded with one. Trust me it will never NEVER compete with a Dillon :grin: .
If you are saving space or money one of the Lee "hand press" may serve you better.

As a kid i used one of these for years loading up my old "thutty thutty" I really enjoyed it and remember many nights setting around reloading. I wish that I had'nt gotten rid of it mainly cause it was NEAT. I ocasionaly see them for sale and a gun store near here has a supply of them along with dies. Every time I go in there I thing "mabey just one" but common sense, and the lack of room to put more STUFF prevails. :-D
